    This hedge trimmer is produced in Qingdao especially for the Asian market. It is used mainly for tea harvesting.

90% of all cylinders installed in the STIHL Group come from Brazil.
  • A PERFECT PLACE STIHL Brazil has received multiple awards as one of the best employers in Brazil. The location in São Leopoldo stands out above all for its positive working atmosphere.

  • 1973 marks the year in which STIHL expanded and commissioned its first production facility abroad in Brazil.

  • STIHL invested 10.7 million euros in premises for research and development work at the site in São Leopoldo.

  • 90% OF ALL CYLINDERS that are installed in the STIHL Group come from Brazil.

AUSTRIA
The iMOW test area on the roof of STIHL Tirol covers an area of 3,000 square meters.
  • Founded in 1981 as VIKING GmbH, the Langkampfen site has been a wholly owned subsidiary of the STIHL Group since 1992. Since 2019, VIKING products have been exclusively sold by STIHL Tirol GmbH under the STIHL brand.

  • AROUND 800 EMPLOYEES work for STIHL Tirol.

  • The STIHL range comprises 178 MODELS OF GROUND-GUIDED POWER TOOLS. STIHL Tirol is the STIHL Group’s center of excellence for lawn mowers, robotic mowers, ride-on lawn mowers and shredders. In addition, numerous hand-held cordless products are assembled in Langkampfen.

  • The iMOW test area on the roof of STIHL Tirol covers an area of 3,000 SQUARE METERS.

Small but powerful: RIVET BOLTS hold the saw chain together. To ensure that the chains have optimal hold, each individual rivet bolt is hardened using an induction process.
  • MORE THAN 70 SAW CHAIN TYPES are produced in the Swiss chain plants, so that STIHL customers are perfectly equipped for all applications.

  • More than 1,000 EMPLOYEES work at the Wil and Bronschhofen sites.

  • The production company was founded in 1974.

  • 16 MILLION KILOGRAMS OF GRANULATE are required annually in plastics production.

  • 32 SECONDS and the STIHL 4180 FUEL TANK is shaped, welded, assembled and tested for leaks in an automation cell.

  • MORE THAN 2,600 EMPLOYEES are employed at the Virginia Beach site.

32,000,000 components leave the STIHL magnesium die-casting plant in Weinsheim every year.
  • Founded in 1926 as the A. Stihl Engineering Office in Cannstatt.

  • TOGETHER AND FOR EACH OTHER: GASOLINE AND BATTERY. STIHL headquarters in Germany manufactures gasoline-powered tools for professional users. Since 2018, Waiblingen has even had its own battery pack production facility. This underlines the company’s intention to manufacture top-of-the-line technology, including for battery products.

  • The workforce at the eight sites of the German headquarters comprises AROUND 6,000 EMPLOYEES.

  • 32,000,000 components leave the STIHL magnesium die-casting plant in Weinsheim every year.
