We develop the innovations of tomorrow
What will the STIHL innovations of tomorrow be? We have an international development team at work on this, including more than 900 specialists in the state-of-the-art STIHL development center at our German headquarters in Waiblingen. Our technological solutions involve intelligent motorized power tools that tell their users when they need maintenance, for example.
We have developed apps that let forestry workers know which tree should be harvested and also determine the quality of its wood. We are working on battery technology that makes our garden tools and power tools even more powerful, lightweight and versatile. How about a robotic lawnmower that is networked with the building services and could, for example, communicate to the control system of the electric roof window that it is starting to rain? We remain true to our pioneering spirit in every case: We make it easier for people to work in and with nature, and inspire customers with powerful innovations and top-quality quality – whether for state-of-the-art forestry or smart gardening.
