Sarah Gewert will be the new Executive Board Member for Marketing and Sales at STIHL Group. She will take over from Norbert Pick, who will retire when his contract expires on December 31, 2022. “We are delighted that we have been able to recruit Ms. Gewert, a talent from within our company, for the Executive Board position of Marketing and Sales. She is a proven expert in brand and customer experience. With her strong customer focus she has renewed our brand concept, established STIHL as a brand in direct-to-customer business and played a key role in developing our omni-channel strategy,” emphasized STIHL Advisory Board and Supervisory Board Chairman Dr. Nikolas Stihl. The STIHL AG Supervisory Board yesterday resolved to appoint Sarah Gewert as the Executive Board Member for Marketing and Sales for a period of three years from January 1, 2023.
After completing her studies in economics, Cologne-born Gewert began her career in 2005 at designer furniture manufacturer hüIsta-werke HüIs GmbH & Co. KG in Stadtlohn, where she rose to become head of marketing. In 2014, she came to Waiblingen to join ANDREAS STIHL AG & Co. KG as Head of Department for Marketing Communications. She took charge of the department in 2020 and became responsible for the STIHL Group’s global marketing communication activities. Since then, Gewert has greatly strengthened the STIHL marketing strategy and brand identity and successfully introduced direct online marketing and customer engagement.

Under his leadership, STIHL has recorded massive growth worldwide, both in qualitative and quantitative terms. In 2002 Norbert Pick started as Managing Director of the STIHL Vertriebszentrale AG & Co. KG sales headquarters in Dieburg, with responsibility for the German market. In 2012, he was appointed Executive Board Member for Marketing and Sales at STIHL AG in Waiblingen and is now in charge of 41 STIHL marketing and sales companies around the world. The sales organization also includes a further approximately 120 independent importers as well as more than 54,000 authorized dealers in over 160 countries.
